Southwestern Pinwheels

Southwestern Pinwheels with Healthy Christmas Snacks for Preschoolers Windmills is DELICIOUS, and can be served anytime throughout the year. I use this Christmas tree design because I took him to the holiday party!

Ingredients:

  1. 8 oz. cream cheese, softened
  2. 2 cups shredded mild cheddar cheese
  3. 1 cup (8 oz.) Cut green chilies diced
  4. 1 cup (about 6) sliced leeks
  5. 1/2 cup chopped black olives
  6. 1 cup diced red bell pepper
  7. 1 1/2 tsp. Southwest seasoning (optional. I use the Pampered Chef brand.)
  8. Sliced Deli Turkey
  9. 8 tortilla spinach 12 inches
  10. Salsa (for dipping)
  11. One piece of toast
  12. cherry tomatoes
  13. Yellow bell pepper

Instruction for Making Southwestern Pinwheels
1. In a large bowl, combine cream cheese, cheddar cheese, chiles, scallions, olives, peppers, and spices.

2. for each of the tortillas: tortilla Cover with a thin layer of Turkey. Then spread a thin layer of cream cheese mixture on top of the Turkey. Roll the tortilla, then roll tightly with plastic wrap. Place the tortillas are rolled up in the refrigerator for an hour, or until hard.


3. remove the plastic wrap and cut into thick slices 1 inch. Place on a large plate in a tree. Garnish with cherry tomatoes and yellow bell pepper as ornaments, attached with a toothpick. Cut toast into a star for the tree topper.
